Columbus International Festival 2016

Written/Photography by:
Andrew Livelsberger

Background:
Currently in it's 61st year, the Columbus International Festival showcases the diversity in cultures that permeate the Columbus, Ohio area.

Impression:
I walked into the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fairgrounds to the sounds of Bollywood.  The sites showed a diversity in cultures from all over the globe.  German and Irish, Arabic nations, Ecuador and Peru, Africa, Japan just to name a few.  All represented in culture, cuisine, and craftsmanship.

While not an overly large festival, the main stage certainly gives one a great show.  Many cultures have customs, traditions and ways of entertaining.  The performances here were great.  Not only from a diversity of culture, but also from a diversity in age groups as well.

This year may have wrapped up, but be sure to check them out next year!
